Education

Resources

Advising and Student Engagement

  • Advise students on business planning and concept refinement
  • Mentor student teams as part of I-Corps South customer acquisition training
  • Coached student team as part of TYE Business Pitch Competition

Research

  • Applying for 2018-19 VPASA Seed funds
  • Building a database of entrepreneurship ecosystem members (funders, VC’s, professors, resources, conferences, centers, programs, etc.)
  • Received VPASA Seed Funds of $4000 in 2017-18 allowing us to hire a student worker and attend the USASBE conference in Los Angeles.
  • Received $4000 in 2016-17 which allowed us to establish the center and get computer and software resources
  • Presented “Understanding the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Higher Education: A Mindmap Approach” at 2017 USASBE Conference
  • Presented an ‘Emerging Research’ paper, “Understanding the (Mis)alignment of Ecosystems in Entrepreneurship Education,” at the 2018 USASBE annual conference
  • Building a database of student entrepreneurs (e.g. demographic information, background factors, and area of concentration, etc.

Continued Support

  • The CEBE advisors are the faculty sponsors of the student-led entrepreneurship club called The Entrepreneur Network – (TEN).  The club meets frequently to discuss ways to support each other and to hear guest speakers.
  • Ongoing: Seeking increased ties to external expertise and support as student resources
